2013 Spring/Summer Cricket Program

Dear Parent/Player,

This coming 2013 season marks the tenth year we are having our Spring/Summer Cricket Program. We are recognized globally as leaders in cricket coaching and programs for youth in this part of the world!

Throughout the years, the Ontario Cricket Academy and Club has created a reputation for success by producing some of the best players in Canada and top league teams at all ages.

Program Details:

The Spring/Summer Program will run from 1st week of May to beginning of October.

We will be finalizing the exact days and timings for our various age groups, but for your information:

* 2 Days of cricket coaching and matches every week (with the opening of our indoor cricket centre we are now able to add more value to our cricket programs- and as such will have some sessions indoor as well)

*Weekly practices and matches!

* Coaching by internationally qualified and recognized coaches (including guest coaches/players who have played international and IPL cricket)

* We provide all the equipment

* Each player gets a uniform

* Cricket tournaments and events at no extra cost

Our programs are designed to teach the players all the basics of cricket including batting, bowling, fielding and wicket keeping. It is our goal that through proper coaching they will become well prepared to participate in matches and progress further in the sport, as well as becoming healthier and more physically fit.

Under 7, 9, 11, 13- Schedule to be announced

Outdoor Location: Mavis Cricket Ground- 550 Courtneypark Drive West, Mississauga, Ontario, L5W 1L9

Indoor Location: #2-6750 Davand Drive, Mississauga, ON L5T 2L8

GENERAL INFORMATION:

*Players will be grouped according to age and skill level (special admittance for PROstream Program)

*They will be taught the fundamental cricket skills and technique in Batting, Bowling, Fielding and Wicket Keeping

*Through this program players will be eligible to be selected for League Matches and scouted for Specialized Training programs (with a view of playing representative cricket)

*For more advanced players, we will prepare the player for higher levels of competition and skill competency

*Coaching is conducted by professional and internationally qualified coaches

*Through structured coaching plans and organized matches, players will improve their overall skill (ability) and knowledge of the game
