Abraash trains at the Pakistan National Cricket Academy

In December Abraash Khan travelled back to his parent's homeland of Pakistan to train at the Lahore Cricket Academy. In Lahore, Abraash was under the guidance of Pakistan national team interim coach and former national player Mohsin Kamal. Kamal was immediately impressed by the OCAC youngster and did not waste time in bringing him to the Pakistan National Cricket Acaedmy for advanced training.

While at the PCB NCA, Abraash worked with current national coach hopeful and legendary fast bowler, Aaqib Javed and other specialist coaches. Abraash had the opportunity to engage with current national players Umar and Kamran Akmal, Junaid Khan and a few others as they prepared for the series against England.

In addition, Abraash played matches for the Lahore Cricket Academy, returning impressive scores and rapid bowling spells in all his outings. He was placed in an older age category than his own.

All coaches at the Lahore Academy and the PCB National Cricket Academy were complimentary of the coaching that Abraash has received at the Ontario Cricket Academy and Club.

Currently Abraash is in the Canada U-17 squad in preparation for the ICC America's U-17 Cup in the USA in April. As Canada's leading batsman in 2011 at the ICC America's U-15 Cup in Manitoba he should be an easy choice for selectors. At the age of 13, he may even be the youngest on the team.
