Darius D’Souza selected for Goa State U-25 Probables squad in India Ontario Cricket Academy and Club star player, Darius D'Souza, has been named in the Goa State Cricket Association U-25 Probables Squad after impressing the state coaches on his recent trip to India in December 2011. D'Souza was praised for his sound technique and approach while at Goa State training sessions. Darius' involvement in the Goa State Cricket Association U-25 set-up will help him to make strides towards fulfilling his ambition of playing professional cricket. Selectors for Goa's Ranji Trophy squad select players from this U-25 pool of players. Owing to a communication delay and work commitments, Darius was unable to make this particular round of training in Goa. However, he will certainly be joining the group at a later date. Currently Darius is in his work semester in London, UK. In early 2011he made his First Class debut against Northamptonshire County Cricket Club for Loughborough University. He continued his fine form and showed his calibre as a player in an excellent season for Harrow Cricket Club in the Middlesex County League, during the 2011 summer. For the 1st XI, Darius scored 393 runs with a top score of 91 against North Middlessex (and a total of 2 half centuries) at an average of 43.67 for the well known club side. He also had best bowling figures of 3 for 9 against Harpenden CC. In between his busy summer, Darius travelled to Toronto to play for OCA&C Premier in July. Darius contributed very well scored a few match winning innings, including a 71 against Malton CC.
