Gajanayake, Mendis and Iftikhar back home Malintha Gajanayake (left), Tharindu Mendis (centre) and Iftikhar Khan (right) Former Sri Lanka 'A' team player Malintha Gajanayake, former Sri Lanka U-19 pool member Tharindu Mendis and Warwickshire County CC Academy (UK) player Iftikhar Khan have returned to home after a succesful season playing and coaching for the Ontario Cricket Academy and Club. The two Sri Lankan players led by example in the Premier Division in all departments, batting, bowling and fielding. Iftikhar Khan brought his UK experience and all-round ability to the First Division team. Their main contribution, it must be said, was their involvement as coaches in our academy program. All players, of all ages and skill levels benefitted by their daily coaching. Gajanyake and Mendis are now preparing for a season of First Class cricket in Sri Lanka's Domestic Premier League, while Khan is busy with university studies in Birmingham, UK.
