About Us Committee

The Ontario Cricket Academy (OCA) was formed in 2002 by Derek Perera and Mihir Dutta with the purpose of providing the highest level of coaching for youth and adults.

In 2004, the OCA became the first academy in Canada to open an indoor cricket centre- dedicated to year round coaching programs. During this time we have hosted international coaches and cricketers for special clinics and events.

In 2009, we undertook our first international tour to Trinidad and Tobago (West Indies), where our U-17 squad was praised for their technical ability.

The OCA fields 3 senior league teams (1st, 2nd and 4th Divisions) and 4 youth age level teams (U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19).

We are proud that many of the young players who began their cricket with the OCA, have gone on to play for Canada at the U-15 and U-19 levels. Many of our top players train with the Canadian National Senior men's team.
